Bring Home Beautiful Georgian Bay – Mnidoo Gamii
“Mnidoo Gamii is Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) for “Great Lake of the Spirit.” Including the Bay’s Indigenous name is a small acknowledgment of the history, knowledge, and stewardship that have shaped this place long before my own experience navigating its waters.”
10% of all sales in June 2026 will be donated to Georgian Bay Forever - this organization does important work in conserving, protecting, and restoring the aquatic ecosystem of all Georgian Bay.
This hand-painted map is inspired by Alex’s lifelong experience exploring, learning, and navigating the waters of southeastern Georgian Bay. Created with residents, cottagers, and boaters in mind, the artwork also acknowledges the importance of Indigenous knowledge and our shared relationship with the Bay.
Originally drawn and painted by hand, reproduced as a museum-quality fine art print, each piece is carefully printed using archival pigments on beautifully textured fine art paper, ensuring exceptional detail and longevity.
Available in two poster sizes:
Medium (18” × 24”) — $150
Large (24” × 32”) — $200
Each print includes artist’s signature on the front and is thoughtfully packaged with an acid-free backing board and protective sleeve, ready for framing or gifting.
Whether displayed in a cottage, cabin, or city home, this artwork evokes a sense of nostalgia, adventure, and connection to the unique beauty of Georgian Bay - the largest freshwater archipelago in the world!
